• Video call before meeting in person

• Research their profile and mutual connections

• Trust your instincts — if something feels off, it probably is

• Always meet in a public place

• Tell a friend or family member where you are going

• Drive yourself or arrange your own transport

• Keep your phone charged

• Do not share your home or work address early on

• Avoid sharing your full last name or social media profiles too soon

• Never send money or financial information to a match

• Unmatch and block immediately

• Use the in-app Report button

• Contact local authorities for any immediate danger
