Where to find your privacy settings

Go to Settings > Privacy to access all privacy controls. Here is a summary of what you can control:

Profile visibility

• Public — Anyone can see your profile and posts

• Friends only — Only connected users can see your content

• Custom — You define exactly who can view what

Who can find you

• Search by name or username

• Suggested connections

• Phone or email lookup (you can turn this off)

Who can contact you

• Connection requests: Everyone, Friends of friends, or No one

• Messages: Connections only, or Everyone

• Mentions: Everyone, Connections only, or No one

Data and activity

• Control whether your activity status is visible

• Choose whether to show when you have read messages

• Manage third-party app permissions

Reviewing your settings

We recommend reviewing your privacy settings every 6 months as features and defaults may change.
