Two-factor authentication

What is two-factor authentication (2FA)?

Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your account. Even if someone knows your password, they can't access your account without the second factor.

How to enable 2FA

Step 1: Go to Security Settings

• Web: Click profile picture > Settings > Security

• Mobile: Tap profile > Settings > Security

Step 2: Choose your method

• Authenticator app (recommended) — Google Authenticator, Authy, or similar

• SMS text message — Receive codes via text (less secure)

Step 3: Set up

For authenticator app:

1. Download an authenticator app

2. Scan the QR code shown on Swivvia

3. Enter the 6-digit code from the app

4. Save your backup codes

For SMS:

1. Enter your phone number

2. Receive a verification code

3. Enter the code to confirm

Backup codes

• You'll receive 10 one-time backup codes

• Store them in a safe place

• Each code can only be used once

• Generate new codes if you run out

Logging in with 2FA

1. Enter your email and password

2. Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app (or SMS)

3. Optionally check "Remember this device" for 30 days
